Finally, the new Delta Force game hit the surface, combining all the modes and games we love. Delta Force is one of the oldest FPS series that tries to capture the realistic combat that many developers are striving for even today.
From the first matches I have played, the developers made it clear that this game has made a significant return capturing both new and veteran players’ attention.
Delta Force: A history of the tactical excellence
The first game, developed by NovaLogic and released in 1998, was known for its rich maps. It set itself apart by focusing on strategic planning, which was the main mission of the majority of FPS game developers at that time. This approach positioned the franchise as a pioneer in this genre.
I remember playing the good old Delta Force: Black Hawk Down and it felt like the game was ahead of its time. That era of gaming was surely the golden era of FPS games.
It incorporated voxel-based graphics which is not a widely known technology as it uses a different concept when rendering 3D objects than the pixel rendering-based technology we’re seeing today in 99.9% of games. This was an innovation at that time as it made it possible to render vast terrains and include a variety of features related to weapon mechanics such as bullet drop and wind effects which eventually, with the diverse types of missions, made the experience more engaging and intense.
The community surely played a huge role in keeping this game alive. How could it not be when the players can customize and mod the game which helped expand the lifespan of the games and gave some sort of ownership and involvement that led to the making the bond between developers and players stronger?
The new Delta Force
A new installment emerged in December 2024 from a new developer: TiMi Studio Group. As expected and as delivered, modern graphics and new gameplay mechanics were introduced while keeping the core elements that defined this series.
The new Delta Force game was met with a lot of support and good reviews on Steam. It surely did deliver with the new content that aligns with contemporary gaming standards in 2024.
In addition to the new missions and features, regular updates from the developers boosted even more the engagement of the long-supporting fans.

Rich PvP Battles
There was not a single moment where I said “hmm.. I think I played enough”, on the contrary, I was eager to play and try new things with every match. Seeing the large battles that reminded me of Battlefield was such an amazing feeling.
Players are following and playing the objective, helping each other to wi,n and the medics making sure that no one is left behind.
Similarities with Battlefield games in terms of map scales and objectives were noticeable, but that didn’t take away the originality of this new installment.
Extraction Mode
The new Delta Force game replicated other modes from other games, like Escape from Tarkov which is by no means a bad thing.
This new installment now includes a high-stakes mode where players have to infiltrate hostile areas, finish the missions, and extract safely. This might seem simple, but it requires good resource management and quick decision-making.
Cross-Platform Play
I don’t think many players will consider this as a feature in 2024, but it surely is as many well-known AAA games still don’t have that yet.
What sets Delta Force apart is its immersive graphics, good sound design and dynamic mission objectives. This was achieved thanks to the feedback gathered on early access that allowed developers to fine-tune and balance all aspects of the game.
