It is a map of the Western Front depicting the Fall of France, which led the British to withdraw from continental Europe. It is inspired by the battle of May 1940 that took place around the city of Arras, during which the Allies launched a counterattack against the German army, with the aim of getting closer to the English Channel. Arras offers several styles of play, close combat, in open area or in vehicles. The buildings will provide you with good coverage in areas that are a little too exposed. Arras is great and its landscape is superb, but do not spend too much time admiring the magnificent canola fields, you must stay alert because enemy tanks or marksmen could take advantage of it.
According to reviews, many BF 5 players opt for Rotterdam, which is an optimal map for urban combat. A city divided by its channels, which you can swim across. Panzerstorm is one of the largest Battlefield 5 maps in the game. This map is covered with wide hilly fields perfect for fighting in vehicles. Mobilize your tanks and sow destruction through the countryside. It is freely inspired by the battle of Hannut, which took place in Belgium in 1940. The German forces attacked a small town back then, crushing the British defensive forces. With the carcasses of the tanks polluting a once beautiful landscape, resigned to undergo a new attack, this map is very close to an actual battle, thus making it a great choice.

This recently added map (30 May 2019) is based on the events of Operation Mercury in 1941; this map allows you to deploy on the coast of Crete where the British are fighting to invade German forces. In terms of the game, Mercury is a question of verticality, total war and asymmetric vehicle forces; British troops have tanks and only a small number of planes while the Germans control the sky. Exploit rocky slopes for intense vertical and close gameplay. Join the Battle of Greece!
Aerodrome is inspired by the British attacks on German facilities, supply lines and aerodromes in the Libyan Desert in 1942-1943. The aerodrome is located in the North African desert. First, the hangar in the central part is the scene of intense infantry fighting. This will very often leave the other points of the map with little defense. In addition, the style of play is diverse; you will find several types of fights, close or open. It is a great choice for those who love desert battles.
Hamada is the second map in North Africa and is inspired by a strategic point between Libya and Egypt. This region was the scene of decisive battles between the Axis and the Allies in 1941 and 1942. Hamada is a landscape of pebbles and rocks. This map is one of the largest in Battlefield 5 maps. It features large bridges crossing ravines as well as many ruins that will allow you to better defend yourself from enemies. Despite the critics, it is still an ideal choice for vehicle fights.
Fjell 652 is a ski resort located on the peak of the Norwegian mountains that has turned into a battlefield. Anyone who prefers fast close combat, focused on the infantry, will spend a lot of time on this map. Even though many BF 5 players asked for a “remake” for this map, it is still playable thanks to its narrow passages that wind around barriers, forcing the attackers to remain vigilant and giving the defenders the perfect cover in order to ambush the enemy. So this map can still offer you some challenges.
