An overview of this gigantic game
At first, it is necessary to understand the context of Cyberpunk 2077. You should certainly know that the next CD Projekt RED RPG is inspired by the world of Cyberpunk 2020 (it’s even in our top 10 FPS games list), which represents a Role Play Game created by Mike Pondsmith. Cyberpunk 2077 will take place in a dystopian future, in the City of Night City in California. In this world, inequalities and technologies reign supreme and mega corporations govern the life of the inhabitants.
The latter replaced governments and armies, allowing them to dictate their laws to the people. In order to control the premises, these corporations put at their disposal drugs as well as technological implants to improve the capacities of the human body. When individuals lose control of themselves, corporations use their special unit, the MAX-TAC, to neutralize those “Psychos” that endanger the tranquility of the residents of Night City.
As seen above, all the movements of the inhabitants of Night City are watched by these corporations. During the adventure of V, the main character of the title, you will deal with them many times; they can help you during your quest for immortality.
Release date
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available from April 16, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as on Google Stadia, the Mountain View giant’s new streaming platform.
A unique character editor

The developers also noted that Cyberpunk 2077 would get some sort of free downloadable content and additional content for only one player after launch, but had not yet delivered this aspect of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an FPS
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG played primarily in the first person. If the adventure will be played mainly in FPS, know that there will be key moments in the game where you can see your character in full, especially in cinematics. Equipment; weapons, implants and more

You will have the choice between technological weapons, powerful weapons and intelligent weapons and each of them will allow you to see the game from several different ways. The powerful weapons have a boost that allows weapons to rebound on the walls and thus reach enemies hidden behind them. Smart or intelligent weapons benefit from an autolock that can target an enemy with homing bullets. As for the melee weapons, as seen in the demo, there will be Mantis Blades, which are incredible weapons attached to the body of the character and allow him to climb on the walls as well as to kill enemies in close combat.
Implants are a key part of Cyberpunk 2077. Scavenger gangs kidnap people with particularly powerful implants to harvest and sell them, while other gangs choose to mutilate themselves with the extreme implants available. Implants can change people’s appearances and abilities… you can use them too, but be careful, they may have side effects.
Lots of amazing vehicles
Members of CD Projekt RED have confirmed that the player will be able to ride in Night City aboard any vehicle, whether it belongs to him or not. There will be hundreds of cars, motorcycles and other types of vehicles. Whenever you see a vehicle in the game, it will be possible for you to take control and you can then start the fight from there. You can also customize your vehicles in the game.
According to CD Projekt Red, players will be able to call their vehicle no matter where it is. Indeed, Artificial Intelligence will be at the center of the topics addressed in the future game of the Polish studio and each vehicle will have an AI, allowing automatic driving, thus it can join V at his location with a simple call.
Characters
You will assume the role of V, a mercenary of Night City. The character is freely created as a female or male. The choice of gender will affect both the story and the possible romantic relationships in the game.
The class of the character cannot be chosen at the beginning of the game, it can be selected flexibly during the game. The three classes of characters available are Solo (fighter), Techie (engineer) and Net-Runner (hacker). Just like in the GTA series, you have a shelter that serves as a base for operations. During the game, other shelters can be purchased. In Cyberpunk 2077, there is no party system and no permanent companions, but in many missions, NPCs will accompany you.
Concerning the map
According to the producer of the game, the map of Cyberpunk 2077 will be smaller than the one of The Witcher 3. However, it promises to be denser and more alive. In addition, Cyberpunk 2077 features dynamic weather conditions, acid rain, and other deadly environmental dangers.
The Gameplay
The developers point out that Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG with elements of shooter, but not a shooter. In addition to the ranged combat, there will also be close combat always in the first person. Your character has several mobility options: in addition to jumping, he can also run along the walls and make slides. Cyber implants, drugs, and some guns provide additional gaming options, such as slow-motion or the ability to inspect objects and enemies. In Cyberpunk 2077, dialogues are made possible through a dialogue wheel that allows much more than in The Witcher 3.
About the quests
As a mercenary, your missions range from simple messenger services to industrial espionage and are generally available from so-called repairers, who are responsible for hiring mercenaries. There will also be traditional quests and spontaneous events in the game. There are two systems of experience in the game: classic experience points, which enhance your character, and the credibility of the street.
The latter is primarily upgraded by your activities in the game world (side quests, events, etc.) and gives you access to new merchants and game content within Night City.
In addition, your decisions during the quests should have relevant consequences for the rest of the game. Each quest also offers multiple solutions such as intrigue, diplomacy, stealth or brute force.
Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077
Canadian actor Keanu Reeves will play Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. The role of the influential rockerboy and the singer of the Samurai group will be taken by the star of the film John Wick.
In addition to his voice and appearance, Keanu Reeves gave of himself, in a performance of full motion capture of his body. He will be the NPC with the greatest number of lines of dialogue, but will not really exist, since it will be a mental representation due to a failure of one of the implants of V.
Cyberpunk 2077 is certainly one of the most anticipated video games and even if the developer points out that it is an adult game and that it involves a lot of violence, nudity and drugs, this game is very promising and it will have a great impact on the future of video games.
