TOP 7 Third Person Shooter Games in 2020

Third-person shooter games are very immersive and this genre sure has its own dedicated fanbase. We usually see FPS games praised by gamers, especially, if they are multiplayer FPS. But, third-person shooter games will always be head to head to FPS games. The mechanics may differ, but in the end, we are always looking for that immersion gameplay in a hostile environment.

Here’s our TOP 7 Third Person Shooter games in 2020 that you surely will enjoy playing.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War

This sounds like another typical zombie game but bear with us. Zombie Army 4: Dead War features large campaign maps in which you can play with other 3 players in co-op mode.

Zombie Army 4 features a deep progression system with unique customization. At first glance, you will notice that this game has a lot in common with the released games in the last couple of years like emotes, cosmetic items and more.

Jump into hell with your teammates and get into action with this new upcoming shooter game.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows

Release date: February 4, 2020

Rogue Company

An online third-person shooter game where a group of mercenaries gathered for one of the most intense battles and to solve the most challenging missions around the world.

Developed by Hi-Rez Studios, this game features a lot of gears, weapons and guts and it features crossplay across all platforms.

A combination of Fortnite and Gear of War but with small maps. You can notice that the animations are not the best ones out there, but action and intensity are undoubtedly at the center of this cool game.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows & Nintendo Switch

Release date: 2020

Outriders

If you combine Anthem with The Division, you will get Outriders. The gameplay trailer shows great potential and a lot of fun.

Outriders is a co-op action-adventure RPG taking place in a sci-fi and dystopian universe called Enoch where the remaining one is suffering in this world. This game promises a rich storyline that features your typical main and secondary quests.

What I like about this game after watching the gameplay trailers is its attention to the secondary missions. It feels like you’re playing the main quest and not the “go here, go there” type of missions.

The gun-play and animations are both intense and decent with attractive next-gen effects.

You will be able to choose one of the four unique classes with a wide range of customizations offered by this game.

Scavenge and loot to survive, customize and upgrade your character with the huge number of items scattered across this immense map.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Microsoft Windows

Release date: December 2020

Resident Evil 3 Remake

One of the most beloved game series from Capcom and one of the most gruesome games, Resident Evil 3. A remake was recently added to our shelves to revisit our childhood memories.

Resident Evil 3 Remake offers many upgrades in terms of graphics, gameplay and animations with the iconic storyline we all know, escaping from the horrific events that took place in Raccoon City as Jill Valentine.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows

Release date: April 3, 2020

Watch Dogs legion

The new Watch Dogs game will take place in the near future in London. The city is going down as the authority is excessively exerting its power over the citizens and it’s your duty to change that.

In Watch Dogs Legion, you can take control of any NPC roaming the streets of London. Each character will behave differently in the storyline. Recruit a resistance to take down this oppression and restore order to the city.

The official trailer released in E3 2019 shows a lot of improvements compared to its predecessor. The animations will be more dynamic and the gunplay feels intense.

You can also customize your character like in any other RPG game and choose the class you see fit: Hacker, infiltrator or Assault.

This game also features co-op missions so you and your friends will be able to explore this open-world together and enjoy the modes, rewards and themed events coming with each new update.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Microsoft Windows, Google Stadia

Release date: 2020-21

The last of us part 2

The Last Of Us PART 2 takes place five years after the spread of the pandemic where Ellie and Joel find themselves settling down in Jackson, Wyoming. They will then have to hit the road again after some events that disrupted the peace in the place where they’re in.

The first game was known for its well-made gameplay and storyline. Recently, The Last of Us PART 2 was released and it has been praised by the media since then yet gamers didn’t really agree with the reviews due to the forcefully pushed SJWs agenda and poor storyline.

With the said, the game is still solid in terms of gameplay and graphics. If you want to revisit this dark world, go for it.

The Division 2: Warlords of New York

The new chapter of The Division comes back hard this year with a new immersive but not very new world. The Division 2: Warlords takes place in New York after developing biological weapons by a former First Wave Division Agent named Aaron Keener who will then use them to attack the Division Base of Operations in New York City killing top Division agents. You will need to regain control of the Lower Manhattan and restore peace.

As you start the game, you will feel the similarities with its predecessor when it comes to the spongy enemies eating those bullets like they are nothing. This mechanic was previously criticized by gamers yet here we see it in this new title.

Except for the near-immortal enemies, the game is still fun to play and surely you will enjoy playing it online rather than the single-player campaign as it doesn’t really offer that much depth we expect in a video game with such scale.
